Welcome to Translaze, the companion iOS application for Translaze AI-powered real-time translation earbuds. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Translaze app, its subscription service, and the connected earbud hardware. By creating an account or using Translaze, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use and contact us at support@translazeofficial.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Registration Information

When you create a Translaze account, we collect:

• Full name and email address
• Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
• Subscription plan and billing details (processed by Apple's App Store; we do not store your payment card information)
• Country and preferred language settings

2.2 Audio & Translation Data

Translaze processes real-time spoken audio to deliver translations. Here is exactly how we handle that audio:

• Live audio is streamed to our servers only for the duration of an active translation session and is not permanently stored by default.
• Temporary audio buffers used during processing are deleted immediately after translation is delivered to your earbuds.
• Translated text outputs may be saved in your in-app Session History only if you enable that feature in Settings.
• If you opt into our optional Voice Improvement Program, anonymized audio samples may be retained with your explicit, revocable consent to improve our AI models.

2.3 Device & Hardware Information

To pair and manage your Translaze earbuds, we collect:

• Device identifiers (iPhone model, iOS version, Bluetooth identifiers)
• Earbud firmware version and hardware diagnostics
• Pairing status and connection logs

2.4 Usage & Analytics Data

We automatically collect limited analytics to improve the app, including:

• App features used and session duration
• Language pairs selected for translation
• Crash reports and error logs
• Subscription status and in-app purchase events

Analytics are collected in aggregate and are not linked to identifiable audio content.

2.5 Location Data

Translaze does not collect precise GPS location. We may infer general region from your IP address solely for compliance, language defaults, and service availability purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Translaze translation service
• Pair and sync your Translaze earbuds with your iPhone
• Process your subscription and manage billing through Apple's App Store
• Personalize language settings and improve translation accuracy
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance
• Send you important service updates, security notices, and support responses
• Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your audio data for advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud infrastructure, AI processing partners) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Apple App Store: Subscription and purchase information is managed by Apple. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Translaze, its users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you prior to such a transfer.

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained for the life of your account and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Real-time audio is not retained beyond the active session.
• Session history (if enabled) is stored until you delete it or close your account.
• Anonymized analytics data may be retained in aggregate form indefinitely.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Opt-Out: Withdraw consent for optional data collection (e.g., Voice Improvement Program) at any time in Settings.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format where technically feasible.

7. Children's Privacy

Translaze is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at support@translazeofficial.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• End-to-end encryption for audio data transmitted between your earbuds, the Translaze app, and our servers
• TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
• AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Services

Translaze integrates with Apple services (App Store, Sign in with Apple, Push Notifications). These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries outside your own. By using Translaze, you consent to the transfer of your data to countries that may have different data protection laws. We will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any such transfers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by sending a notice to your registered email address and/or displaying a prominent notice in the app before the change takes effect. The updated policy will include a revised effective date.
